  • Lines added to the account via migration from Sprint, Change of Responsibility (COR) or BAN-to-BAN moves, converted from NCC/SCNC to normal Postpaid, and lines resumed from cancel do not qualify for this requirement.
  • If a customer canceled a voice line within the past 90 days (excluding CORs and No Installs), the line must be resumed before they can add a brand-new voice line to qualify.

  • For one year after the offer's announce date (November 14, 2023), customers must maintain the same number of voice (GSM) lines that were active on the account as of that date, plus the newly-activated lines, which includes the free or discounted line. 
    Example: A customer must activate 3 new voice lines to enroll. They must then maintain all 3 voice lines for 1 full year after November 14, 2023.
  • After one year, customers must keep at least 2 paid voice lines AND the free or discounted new line that was activated to enroll in this offer to continue to receive the credit.
  • No Install cancellations for voice lines will not impact the free or discounted line credits.

Review & take action

  1. Go over the offer details and these advisements with your customer so they understand what to do to get and keep this offer


    Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after activation, but in some cases, it may take up to 2 bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.

    You will lose the free or discounted line credits if you cancel ANY voice lines on the account within one year including the new free or discounted line. After one year, you must keep at least 2 paid voice lines along with the new free or discounted voice line activated under this offer to keep the free/discounted line credit.

    If you cancel a voice line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free or discounted line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.

  2. Confirm customer is on or changing to a qualifying rate plan.
  3. Help customers place their new line activation.
     

T-Mobile for Business: Digital Checkout must be created and accepted within the promo period to qualify.

  • This offer is for a limited time only and subject to change and should be communicated to customers in this way.

FAQs

Customers shouldn't cancel an existing voice line with the intention of replacing it with a newly activated voice line to take advantage of this offer, even if the cancellation happens after the new voice line activation.

Customers should never be told to cancel lines, before or after a promotion, in an effort to qualify or justify a promotion. If a customer does not need additional lines, explore other promotions, or discuss device price points. Driving CHURN to close sales is not the right thing to do.

The free/discounted line credit applies to newly activated lines with logic this way:

  • AAL lines with subscriber-level MRC receive the credit first before lines that are included in a family/pooled plan MRC 
  • Lines with lowest MRC receive the credit
  • If multiple lines have same lowest MRC, lines with earliest activation date/time receive the credit
