  • If a customer canceled a voice line within the past 90 days (excluding CORs and No Installs), the line must be resumed before they can add a brand-new voice line to qualify.

To keep this free line credit
  • For one year after the offer's announce date (December 20, 2022), customers must maintain the same number of voice (GSM) lines that were active on the account as of that date, plus the newly-activated lines, which includes the free line. 
    Example: An account with 2 active voice lines on (December 20, 2022), must activate 2 new voice lines to enroll. They must then maintain all 4 voice lines for 1 full year after (December 20, 2023).
  • After one year, customers must keep at least 2 paid voice lines AND the two lines added as part of this promotion (the paid line and free new line) that was activated to enroll in this offer to continue to receive the credit.
  • No Install cancellations for voice lines will not impact the free line credits.

Payout

Automatic enrollment in monthly bill credits for the line with the lowest MRC activated during the promo period, up to $35 / $40 (with / without AutoPay).

  • The free line bill credits start within 2 bill cycles from activation.
  • Customers keep the credit for as long as they meet the promo requirements.
  • Credit applies to the voice line charge only. Chargeable add-ons greater than $0 will be the customer’s responsibility to pay.

  1. Go over these details with your customer so they understand what to do in order to get and keep this offer:

    To receive this offer, you'll need to:

    • Existing customers with 2+ voice line accounts: have at least 2 paid voice lines and activate at least 2 new voice lines on a qualifying rate plan during the promotional period.
       

    Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after activation, but in some cases, it may take up to 2 bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.

    You will lose the free line credits if you cancel ANY voice lines on the account within one year including the new free line. After one year, you must keep at least 2 paid voice lines along with the two new lines activated under this offer to keep the free line credits.

    If you cancel a voice line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.

  2. Confirm customer is on or changing to a qualifying rate plan.
  3. Help customers place their new line activation.

  • Customers can find the Promo code and Bill name and their free line credits on their bill statement.
  • You can see the free line credits in the Frontline Promo Dashboard and Samson on the Discount screen (Actions > BAN Discount or Page Options > Subscriber Discount).
  • The free line credits discount codes for this offer are 23Q11F, 23Q11S, and 23Q11P.
  • On August 24, 2023, the bill name was updated to Line Discount ID230227.
  • This offer is for a limited time only and subject to change and should be communicated to customers in this way.
  • A rate plan change to a qualifying Go5G Next rate plan will maintain this promo.
  • Eligibility for a device promotion on a free or discounted line depends on how and when that line was added. Free lines are not eligible for device promotional credits when upgrading. Review Line / Service Promotional Bill Credits for more details.

 

FAQs

Customers who are looking to add a new voice line to their existing account. Activate 2 new voice lines on your 2+ existing, eligible voice plan and get one for free!

Since this offer requires a new voice line activation, customers shouldn't cancel an existing voice line with the intention of replacing it with a newly activated voice line to take advantage of this offer, even if the cancellation happens after the new voice line activation.

Customers should never be told to cancel lines, before or after a promotion, in an effort to qualify or justify a promotion. If a customer does not need additional lines, explore other promotions or discuss device price points. Driving CHURN to close sales is not the right thing to do.

The free line credit applies to newly activated lines with logic this way:

  • AAL lines with subscriber-level MRC receive the credit first before lines that are included in a family/pooled plan MRC 
  • Lines with lowest MRC receive the credit
  • If multiple lines have same lowest MRC, lines with earliest activation date/time receive the credit

Customers who have a free line from a previous promo activated before this current promo was announced can keep that free line and participate in this new offer if:

  • They have at least 2 paid lines on their account.
  • Their rate plan is eligible for both promos.

 

Exception: Paid lines that qualified customers for the previous offers do not count towards the required paid line counts:

Unfortunately, lines migrated from Sprint do not count towards the new line activation requirement, so customers can not receive this promotion on the migrated line. After migrating to the T-Mobile biller, these customers may add additional new lines to become eligible for this promotion.
