Two new voice lines required

  • Lines added to the account via migration from Sprint, Change of Responsibility (COR) or BAN-to-BAN moves, converted from NCC/SCNC to normal Postpaid, and lines resumed from cancel do not qualify for this requirement.
  • Lines converted from Prepaid to Postpaid are eligible including conversions from Legacy Prepaid, Rebellion, and Metro by T-Mobile Prepaid accounts.
  • If a customer canceled a voice line within the past 90 days (excluding CORs and No Installs), the line must be resumed before they can add a brand-new voice line to qualify.

Payout

Automatic enrollment in monthly bill credits for the line with the lowest MRC activated during the promo period.

  • The free line bill credits start within 2 bill cycles from activation.
  • Customers keep the credit for as long as they meet the promo requirements.
  • Credit applies to the voice line charge only. Chargeable add-ons greater than $0 will be the customer’s responsibility to pay.

  • Existing customers with 2 or more paid voice lines must activate 2 new voice lines on their account 

Exception: Paid lines that qualified customers for the previous offers do not count towards the required paid line counts:

To keep this free line credit
  • For one year after the offer's announce date (October 11, 2022), customers must maintain the same number of voice (GSM) lines that were active on the account as of that date, plus the newly-activated lines, which includes the free line. Example: An account with 3 active voice lines on October 11, 2022, must activate 2 new voice lines to enroll. They must then maintain all 5 voice lines for 1 full year after October 11, 2022.
  • After one year, customers must keep at least 2 paid voice lines AND the two lines added as part of this promotion (the paid line and free new line) that was activated to enroll in this offer to continue to receive the credit.
  • No Install cancellations for voice lines will not impact the free line credits.

  1. Go over these details with your customer so they understand what to do in order to get and keep this offer:

 

 To receive this offer, you'll need to have:

  • at least 3 months tenure as a T-Mobile customer
  • at least 2 paid voice lines active since at least October 11, 2022
  • activate at least 2 new voice lines on a qualifying 55+, First Responders, or Military Magenta MAX plan during the promotional period

Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after activation, but in some cases, it may take up to 2 bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.

 You will lose the free line credits if you cancel ANY voice lines on the account within one year including the new free line. After one year, you must keep at least 2 paid voice line along with the new voice lines activated under this offer to keep the free line credits.

 If you cancel a voice line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.

2. Confirm customer is on or changing to a qualifying rate plan.

 

3. Help customers place their new line activation.

 

T-Mobile for Business: Orders must be placed within the promo period, and Digital Checkout must be created and accepted within the promo period to qualify.

  • Customers can find the Promo code and Bill name and their free line credits on their bill statement.
  • You can see the free line credits in the Frontline Promo Dashboard and Samson on the Discount screen (Actions > BAN Discount or Page Options > Subscriber Discount).

  • This offer is for a limited time only and subject to change and should be communicated to customers in this way.
  • Assisted Support Charge is applicable to any new lines added and should not be waived. Support teams run a daily reporting adherence. Any incorrectly applied adjustments may be reversed.
  • If a customer switches to an eligible 55+, First Responders and Military Magenta MAX rate plan, confirm their existing device promotions include these rate plans to prevent promo unenrollment.
  • A rate plan change to a qualifying Go5G Next rate plan will maintain this promo.
  • Eligibility for a device promotion on a free or discounted line depends on how and when that line was added. Free lines are not eligible for device promotional credits when upgrading. Review Line / Service Promotional Bill Credits for more details.

FAQs

This is a great offer for our existing 55+, First Responder, and Military customers! Need a new voice line for your account? Activate 2 new voice lines on your existing account with one paid line and get one of your new voice lines for free!

Since this offer requires a new voice line activation, customers shouldn't cancel an existing voice line with the intention of replacing it with a newly activated voice line to take advantage of this offer, even if the cancellation happens after the new voice line activation.

Customers should never be told to cancel lines, before or after a promotion, in an effort to qualify or justify a promotion. If a customer does not need additional lines, explore other promotions or discuss device price points. Driving CHURN to close sales is not the right thing to do.

The free line credit applies to newly activated lines with logic this way:

  • AAL lines with subscriber-level MRC receive the credit first before lines that are included in a family/pooled plan MRC 
  • Lines with lowest MRC receive the credit
  • If multiple lines have same lowest MRC, lines with earliest activation date/time receive the credit

Unfortunately, lines migrated from Sprint do not count towards the new line activation requirement, so customers can not receive this promotion on the migrated line.
