  • After one year, customers must keep the paid new line AND the free line that were activated in the promo window to enroll in this offer in addition to a minimum of 2 other paid voice lines.
  • No Install cancellations for lines other than the qualifying paid AAL line and free line will not impact the free line credits.
  • Customers taking advantage of a device offer can stack it with this offer at activation only.
  • Customers with accounts that have fewer than 12 total voice lines before adding a new line may change to one of the eligible rate plans after the promo period ends and remain enrolled.

Payout

Monthly bill credits for the line with the lowest MRC activated during the promo period, up to $35 / $40 (with / without AutoPay).

  • The free line bill credits start within 2 bill cycles from activation.
  • Customers keep the credit for as long as they meet the promo requirements.
  • Credit applies to the voice line charge only. Chargeable add-ons greater than $0 will be the customer’s responsibility to pay.
  • Existing customers with 2 lines of service must add 2 additional voice lines and they will get the 4th line free (if they meet the rate plan requirements for the offer and are in good standing).

Review & take action

  1. Explain promo details under What's the deal?.
  2. For existing customers (activated on or before August 11, 2021), confirm they are on a qualifying rate plan and have at least 2 voices lines:
    • If they have fewer than 2 voice lines activated, they are not eligible for the offer. Check out the 3rd line free offer instead.
    • If they are not on a qualifying rate plan:
      1. Educate them about the impacts of changing to the qualifying rate plan (the possibility of losing other promotions or other retired features).
      2. Change the customer to a qualifying rate plan before proceeding with the new activations.
  3. Review these advisements with your customers and make sure they understand what to do to qualify:

     Existing customers with at least 2 active voice lines: To get this offer, you must activate at least 2 additional voice lines of service on a qualifying rate plan during the promotional period.

    Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after activation, but in some cases, it may take up to 2 bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.

    Consumer only: You will receive a text message within 24 hours of qualification confirming your enrollment into the promotion.

    Until August 11, 2022, you must keep the same number of voice lines that were on your account when you qualified for the free line credits. This number includes the new lines activated to qualify for the offer. If you do not, you will lose the free line credits.
    After August 11, 2022, you must keep at least 2 paid voice lines along with the new free voice line activated under this offer to keep the free line credits.

    If you cancel a voice line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.

  4. Process the required activations using your applicable systems. T-Mobile for Business: Orders must be created and completed within the promo period to qualify.

Reminders

  • Customers should never be told to cancel lines, before or after a promotion, to qualify for or justify participation in a promotion. If a customer does not need additional lines, explore other promotions, or discuss device price points. Driving CHURN to close sales is not the right thing to do.
  • You can see the free line credits in FDP from Atlas, QuikView, and Samson on the Discount screen (Actions > BAN Discount or Page Options > Subscriber Discount). Customers can only see their free line credits on their bill.
  • The free line credits display on the bill as 2021 Line P2 / Line Discount ID210008. The discount codes for this offer are 21Q41F, 21Q41P, and 21Q41S.
  • On August 24, 2023, the bill name was updated to Line Discount ID210008.
  • Customers are responsible for all taxes and fees on free lines, if applicable.
  • This offer is for a limited time only and subject to change and should be communicated to customers in this way.
  • Promo is available on voice lines only.
