What's the deal?

Customers must complete the following requirements during the promo period of August 20, 2021 – February 2, 2022:

Existing Sprint customers (must be targeted) with at least 3 paid voice lines: Migrates entire Sprint account to T-Mobile and subscribes to a qualifying Essentials, Magenta, Magenta MAX, or TFB Business Unlimited rate plan (TFB Business w/SSN (13 lines or fewer) customer targeting began on 11/17/21). Segmented rate plans such as 55+, Military, and First Responders are not eligible, as well as segmented Discount of 15% off MAX for Work Perks customers. 

Note: a new line activation is not required for this promotion. 


Reminder: If a plan or AAL SOC isn't listed, it is not eligible for the offer. See FAQs for answers about other plans not listed.

  • The following lines / line types do not qualify:
    • MI, Wearable, DIGITS, LineLink, Nest, and SyncUP lines
    • Lines added to the account via Change of Responsibility (COR) or BAN-to-BAN moves
    • Lines converted from NCC/SCNC to normal Postpaid
    • Lines resumed from cancellation Lines with $0 MRC

(Offer ID: OR12176/ BGS70) - Existing targeted Sprint biller customers with at least 3 active voice lines: Told customer that to get this offer, during the promo period they must migrate their entire account of at least 3 paid voice lines of service from Sprint to T-Mobile and subscribe to a qualifying rate plan. Advised there is a limit of 1 free line per account.

Limitations

  • 1 redemption (1 free voice line with this offer) per account for this promotion.
  • Cannot be combined with 2021 Line On Us P10, 2021 Line On Us P6, 2020 Line On Us P2, or BOGO AAL.
  • Can be combined on the same account as some other line-level service promotions. 
    • For example: Exclusive Hometown Discount for Existing Customers: customer will receive this 3rd Line Free, then Hometown Discount will apply to any newly added lines for lines 4+.

  • Cannot be combined with some service promotions that provide an account-level discount, and the account level discount will be prioritized over 3rd Line Free. See the C2 page for the other service promotion to confirm stackability. Some examples include:

Number of paid lines to qualify for free line

Must have at least three (3) paid voice lines prior to migrating to the T-Mobile biller for the promotion.

  • 3 paid lines for targeted customers on the Sprint biller
  • 3 paid voice lines will become 2 paid and 1 free after migrating to T-Mobile.
Payout type

Monthly bill credits for the line with the lowest MRC migrated during the promo period, up to $35 / $40 (with / without AutoPay).

  • The free line bill credits start within 2 bill cycles from activation/ migration to T-Mobile biller.
  • Customers keep the credit for as long as they meet the promo requirements.
  • Credit applies to the voice line charge only. Chargeable add-ons greater than $0 will be the customer’s responsibility to pay.
Other limits
  • For one year after the offer's announce date (August 16, 2021), customers must maintain the same number of voice (GSM) lines that were active on the account as of that date, plus the newly-activated lines, which includes the free line. Example: An account with 1 active voice line on August 16, 2021, must activate 2 new voice lines to enroll. They must then maintain all 3 voice lines for 1 full year after August 16, 2021.
  • After one year, customers must keep at least 2 paid voice lines AND the free new line that was activated to enroll in this offer to continue to receive the credit.
  • No Install cancellations for voice lines will not impact the free line credits.
  • Customers taking advantage of a device offer can stack it with this offer.

Get the deal

Because this offer requires an account migration from the Sprint biller to the T-Mobile biller, the following steps are taken by the Expert who completes the migration.

  1. Explain promo details under What's the deal?.
  2. For existing targeted Sprint biller customers (activated on or before August 20, 2021), confirm they are targeted in Sprint biller NBA and have at least 3 paid voices lines ($0 indicator, called a MAC, will be present for eligible customers):
    • If they have fewer than 3 paid voice lines activated, they are not eligible for the offer. 
  3. Review these advisements with your customers and make sure they understand what to do to qualify:
     

    Existing targeted Sprint biller customers with at least 3 active voice lines: To get this offer, you must migrate your entire account of at least 3 paid voice lines from Sprint to T-Mobile on a qualifying rate plan during the promotional period.

     Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after migrating, but in some cases, it may take up to 2 bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.

     Consumer only: You will receive a text message within 24 hours of qualification confirming your enrollment into the promotion.

     Until August 16, 2022, you must keep the same number of voice lines that were on your account when you qualified for the free line credits. If you do not, you will lose the free line credits.
    After August 16, 2022, you must keep at least 2 paid voice lines along with the 3rd free voice line under this offer to keep the free line credits.

     If you cancel a voice line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.

  4. Process the required activations using your applicable systems. T-Mobile for Business: Orders must be created and completed within the promo period to qualify.

Having trouble?

Need help validating eligibility? Check that the customer migrated at least 3 paid voice lines during the promo period and subscribed to an eligible plan (confirming targeting on the Sprint biller not required). If the customer maintains the three lines and rate plan, they qualify for enrollment. If your customer is qualified but not receiving credits then engage your Coach or CRE per Promotional credit issue handling.

Things to know

  • You can see the free line credits in FDP from Atlas, QuikView, and Samson on the Discount screen (Actions > BAN Discount or Page Options > Subscriber Discount). Customers can only see their free line credits on their bill.
  • The free line credits display on the bill as 2021 Line On Us P13 / Line Discount ID210010. The discount codes for this offer are 21Q43F (BAN level with AutoPay), 21Q43P (BAN level without AutoPay), and 21Q43S (Subscriber level).
  • On August 24, 2023, the bill name was updated to Line Discount ID210010.
  • Customers are responsible for all taxes and fees on free lines, if applicable.
  • This offer is for a limited time only and subject to change and should be communicated to customers in this way.
  • Promo is only available on targeted Sprint voice lines after migrating to T-Mobile. See Port-in exception impacts for customers unable to migrate.
  • A rate plan change to a qualifying Go5G / Plus / Next rate plan will maintain this promo.
