What's the deal?

Number of paid linesNew and existing customers: At least two (2) paid voice lines.
Payout

Automatic enrollment in monthly bill credits for the line with the lowest MRC activated during the promo period, up to $10 / $15 (with / without AutoPay).

  • The free line bill credits start within two (2) bill cycles from activation. Make-up credits are not applied for any missed cycles if the customer becomes ineligible and then becomes eligible again.
  • Customers keep the credit for as long as they meet the promo requirements.
  • Credit applies to the voice line charge only. Chargeable add-ons greater than $0 will be the customer's responsibility to pay.
Other limits
  • For one year after accepting this offer, customers must maintain the same number of voice (GSM) lines that were on the account when they enrolled in the offer including the new free line. 
  • After one year, customers must keep the two (2) paid new lines AND the free new line that were activated to enroll in this offer (for a total of two (2) paid voice lines and one (1) free line).
  • No Install cancellations for lines other than the qualifying paid new line and free line will not impact the free line credits.
  • Device offers can be stacked with this offer.
  • Lines activated as part of a previous free line promotion do not count towards the minimum number of lines needed to participate in future free line promotions. See How BOGO free line promotions work for complete details.

Review & take action

  1. Explain promo details under What's the deal?.
  2. For existing customers, confirm they are on a qualifying Essentials rate plan and have only one (1) paid voice line:
    • If they have more than one (1) paid voice line, they are not eligible for the offer.
    • If they are not on a qualifying plan:
      1. Educate them about the impacts of changing to the qualifying rate plan (the possibility of losing other promotions like the discounted ONE Plus promo or other retired features).
      2. Change the customer to a qualifying plan before proceeding with the new activation(s).
  3. Review these advisements with your customers and make sure your customer understands:

     New customer: To get this offer, you must activate at least three (3) new voice lines of service on a qualifying Essentials​ rate plan during the promotional period.

    Existing customer: To get this offer, you must have only one (1) paid voice line of service and activate at least two (2) new lines of voice service, all on a qualifying Essentials​ rate plan during the promotional period.

    Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after activation, but in some cases, it may take up to two (2) bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.

    Consumer only: You will receive a text message within 24 hours of qualification confirming your enrollment into the promotion.

    You will lose the free line credits if you cancel ANY lines on the account within one year after accepting this offer. After one year, you must keep the two (2) paid voice lines along with the free line activated under this offer to keep the free line credits.

    If you cancel a line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.

  4. Process the required activations and start any port-in requests. T-Mobile for Business: Orders must be placed within the promo period, and DocuSign must be created and completed within the promo period to qualify.

Things to know

  • You can see the free line credits in FDP from Atlas, QuikView, and Samson on the Discount screen (Actions > BAN Discount or Page Options > Subscriber Discount). Customers can only see their free line credits on their bill.
  • The free line credits display on the bill as 2020 Essentials 3rd Line on Us / Line Discount ID200004. The discount codes for this offer are 20Q21F, 20Q21P, 20Q21S.
  • On August 24, 2023, the bill name was updated to Line Discount ID200004.
  • Customers are responsible for all taxes and fees on free lines, if applicable.
  • This offer is for a limited time only and subject to change and should be communicated to customers in this way.
  • A rate plan change to a qualifying Go5G / Plus / Next rate plan will maintain this promo.
