Customers must meet all the following requirements during the promo period:

Activate or add on the required number of new voice lines.

  • New customers must activate at least 3 new Voice lines (2 paid lines and 1 free line).
  • Existing customers must add at least 2 new Voice lines (1 paid line and 1 free line) to an existing account with only 1 Voice line.
  • New line scenarios that don't qualify:
    • MI, Wearable, DIGITS, LineLink, Nest, and SyncUP lines
    • Lines added to the account via COR or BAN-to-BAN moves
      • Customers performing a COR to open a new account using an existing T-Mobile line, who then add two brand new lines will qualify.
      • Existing customers with more than one paid voice line who release all but one via COR, will qualify after the BAN reflects only one paid voice line and two brand new voice lines are added to the account within the promotional period.
    • Lines converted from NCC/SCNC to normal Postpaid
    • Lines resumed from cancellation
    • Lines with $0 MRC
  • Future-dated activations, Ship-to activations, and T-Mobile for Business orders placed during the promo period qualify, as long as the activation happens in the next bill cycle.
  • Since this offer requires a new voice line activation, customers can't cancel an existing voice line with the intention of replacing it with a newly activated voice line to take advantage of this offer, even if the cancellation happens after the new voice line activation.

2019 3rd Line Free on Magenta (Offer ID: 454995) - Told customer that to qualify for a 3rd line free via bill credits, they must activate or add on the required number of voice lines on a qualifying Magenta plan.

Review & take action

  1. Explain promo details under What's the deal?.
  2. For existing customers, confirm they are on a qualifying plan and have only 1 Voice line:
    • If they have more than 1 Voice line activated already, they are not eligible for the offer, unless they only had one line at the time the promotion began, and two lines have been added during the promo period. Lines do not have to be added at the same time.
    • If they are not on a qualifying plan:
      1. Educate them about the impacts of changing to the qualifying rate plan (the possibility of losing other promotions like the discounted ONE Plus promo or other retired features.
      2. Then change the customer to a qualifying Magenta or Magenta Plus plan before proceeding with the AAL.
  3. Review these advisements with your customers and make sure your customer understands: New customer: To get this offer, you must activate at least 3 new Voice lines of service on a qualifying Magenta / Magenta Plus plan during the promotional period.
    Existing customer: To get this offer, you must have a single Voice line account and activate at least 2 new Voice lines of service on a qualifyingMagenta / Magenta Plus plan during the promotional period. Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after activation, but in some cases, it may take up to 2 bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.
    You will receive a text message within 24 hours of qualification confirming your enrollment into the promotion. You will lose the free line credits if you cancel ANY lines on the account within one year after accepting this offer. After one year, you must keep at least 1 paid Voice line along with the paid Add a line and free line activated under this offer to keep the free line credits.
    If you cancel a line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.
  4. Processing the required activations/AALs and start any port-in requests. T-Mobile for Business: Orders must be placed within the promo period, and DocuSign must be created and completed within the promo period to qualify.


Customers are automatically enrolled within 24 hours of qualification.

Having trouble?

  • Customers must keep their account in good standing (not delinquent) with the lines active to receive the free line credits.
    • For one year after accepting this offer, customers will lose the free line credits if they cancel any lines that were on the account when they enrolled in the offer. Exception: No Install cancellations
    • After one year, they can cancel lines but they must keep at least 1 paid voice line AND the paid activated line and free line activated under this offer to keep the credits.
  • If a customer loses the free line credits because of a line cancellation or a change to an ineligible plan, they can resume the canceled lines or change to a qualifying plan within 90 days to get the credits back.
  • If the account is suspended for non-payment, the free line credits will stop. Once the account is restored, the free line credits will resume.
  • After the promotional period ends, customers can add additional lines to their account and keep their free line.
  • Customers will not receive the free line credits they may have missed when canceled, suspended, or on an ineligible plan.
  • Mobile number changes and port-ins don't impact the free line credits.

Reminders

  • You can see the free line credits in Samson on the Discount screen (Actions > BAN Discount or Page Options > Subscriber Discount) or in the Frontline Promotion Dashboard. Customers can only see their free line credits on their bill.
  • The free line credits display on the bill as 19 Q4 Free Line On Magenta / Line Discount ID190006. The discount codes for this offer are:
    • 19Q42F (BAN level without AutoPay)
    • 19Q42P (BAN level with AutoPay) 
    • 19Q42S (Subscriber Level)
       
  • On August 24, 2023, the bill name was updated to Line Discount ID190006.
  • Plan changes initiated after the promo period won't qualify customers.
