New line activation

2 new lines that must be activated during the promo period

  • Voice, MI (including SyncUP and LineLink lines), or wearable lines and any combination of product types qualify.
  • Not qualify add a lines:
    • Prepaid to postpaid conversions
    • Port-ins from any T-Mobile provider, including T-Mobile Prepaid, Metro by T-Mobile, or an MVNO that uses T-Mobile's network
    • TOM / ship-to orders placed before May 25
    • Lines added to the account via COR or BAN-to-BAN moves
    • Lines resumed from cancellation that occurred on or after May 24
  • Customers who cancel a line on or after May 24 must resume their canceled line and activate an additional line to be eligible (excludes CORs, No Installs, and lines that are not paid, like DIGITS or On Demand MI lines). Only the additional newly activated lines will be free receive the discounts.

  • Customers must be on an active qualifying plan at the time of purchase or set up a future-dated plan change during the promotional period to qualify. Rate plan changes initiated after the promotional period don't qualify.
  • Customers on ONE Plan  2 lines for $100 (Con. FRLTUL2LP; Bus. FZLTUL2LP) qualify for this offer, however, they should change rate plans to ONE Plan 2-8 lines for $120 (Con. FRLTULF2; Bus. FZLTULF2) to avoid a large change in MRC if they plan to add additional lines in the future.
    • Customers are eligible to add two MI plans on FRLTUL2LP.
    • Customers on the 4 for $160 plan (Con. TIUL4L; Bus. ZTITUL4LP) with less than 4 lines on their account (i.e., they are accidentally below the required number of lines for plan), must be changed to ONE Plan 2-8 lines for $120 (Con. FRLTULF2; Bus. FZLTULF2) to receive the discount on the 4th and 5th lines.
    • New customers activating 3 or more lines must be placed on ONE Plan 2-8 lines for $120 (Con. FRLTULF2; Bus. FZLTULF2) to get the 2 for 1 pricing.

Review & take action

Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after purchase, but, in some cases, it may take up to two bill cycles after purchase to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.

If you cancel a line activated under this promotion, you will lose the promotional credit for that line. You can resume the canceled line within 30 days, and the promotional credit will resume. You will not receive any credits that were missed when the line was canceled.

If your account drops below two paid voice lines, you will lose your promotional credit.

How to redeem

Care, Web, & Telesales

  1. Confirm the customer is on a qualifying rate plan. If they are not on a qualifying plan, educate them about the impacts of changing to a qualifying rate plan. Then change them to one before proceeding with the AAL.
  2. Assist the customer with processing their activations/AALs (activation may occur in Samson, if necessary) to meet the line requirements for the promotion. Initiate any port-in requests at this time.
  3. When processing the activation/AAL, include the $25 SIM Starter Kit to your customer’s order. Don't forget to check other equipment offers in market, as customers can stack it with this promotional.
    If a customer wants to activate service with a device and SIM card they already have, use the following positioning statements to guide you through the interaction. Note: Activations will continue to follow their existing Activations and AAL policies.
    • "Thank you for being prepared today! I know you have a SIM card already, but to make sure you don’t have any issues receiving texts or using our awesome LTE data, we provide a SIM starter kit which includes our most up-to-date SIM technology and personalized account provisioning for the new number we’re setting up today. This is just $25 and will be the only thing you pay today since you’re bringing your own device!"
    • "As your account expert, it’s my goal to provide a complete solution so that you don’t have to call back. I recommend using the SIM Starter Kit to prevent any connectivity issues that may result from using an old SIM card.   • The 50% off applies after all other discounts are applied and will apply to the lines with lowest net MRC activated during the promotional period first.
  • Credit for voice lines only applies to talk, text, and $0 data lines; data add-ons greater than $0 will be the customer’s responsibility to pay.
  • Discount will be up to $12.50 per MI line with a max of $25 regardless of the data bucket size. The customer is responsible for the difference.
    • The $25 credit can be combined with an auto MI plus Voice discount.
    • Customers who have MI plans below $25 will receive 50% off the MRC of that plan. For example, a ONE Plan MI plan with AutoPay is $20 and will receive a $10 discount (aka 50% off).
  • Customers are responsible for all taxes and fees on free lines, if applicable.

Future account changes

  • Customers will lose their promotion credit if they cancels the lines activated under this promotion and/or cancel lines and no longer have two paid voice lines on their account. They can resume the canceled lines within 30 days, and the promotional credit will resume.
  • Customers must keep their account in good standing with the lines active to receive the monthly promotional bill credit.
    • If the account is suspended for non-payment or seasonal suspend, the credits will stop. Once the account is restored, the credits will resume.
    • If the account is ladex or suspended for lost/stolen, the credits will continue.
  • Customers are not eligible to receive credits they may have missed while suspended or canceled
  • If a line receiving a bill credit is moved to another account as part of a Change of Responsibility (COR), the destination account must have a qualifying rate plan and at least two paid voice lines for the bill credit to continue.
  • Product type changes, Mobile number changes and port-ins will not impact the promotional credit.

  • New activation order placed with Telesales or an AAL order with Care during the promotional window are eligible for this offer even if activation took place while the order was in transit.
